Plan your content: Before hitting record, plan out the content you want to share. Consider what message you want to convey and how you want to present it. Don’t be afraid to start with scripts. You don’t have to record everything in one take, you can cut and edit it later if needed. Planning out your content also helps you stay on topic and keeps you from rambling.
Be yourself: Authenticity is key on Instagram, so don't be afraid to be yourself. Share your unique perspective and personality in your content, and don't worry about trying to be perfect. Your followers will appreciate your authenticity and relate to you on a deeper level.
Practice, practice, practice: Getting in front of the camera can take some getting used to, so practice as much as you can. You don’t have to post it, but record yourself regularly, watch the footage back, and look for ways to improve. With time and practice, you'll become more comfortable and confident on camera, and your Instagram content will reflect that. The good thing about recording yourself is you can do it as many times as you want, so don’t be afraid to mess up.
Be Mindful of Body language: Your body language can have a huge impact on how you come across on camera. Practice good posture, use open and confident gestures, and smile when appropriate. Take note of any nervous habits you may have, such as fidgeting or touching your hair, and work on reducing them.
Lighting/Equipment: Don’t think you always have to have something professional, just use what you have. If you don’t have a ring light or professional light - Use natural lighting. If you don’t have a professional camera, use your phone. Also keep in mind that good lighting can make a huge difference in the quality of your videos. Record in your car, near a window and your home or at an open listing.
